Mr. Wender co-founded Stella Point Capital in 2012. Previously, he spent more than 17 years at Castle Harlan where he played a significant role in the development of the firm. Mr. Wender ran the firm’s investment process from 2003 to 2010 and was President of the firm from 2006 to 2010. He led the effort of raising two funds at Castle Harlan totaling $2 billion. In addition, Mr. Wender was involved with numerous investments for the firm, serving on the board of directors of eleven portfolio companies over his career. Currently, he serves on the board of First American Payment Systems, Intermex and Rightpoint. He serves as a Trustee and the Chair of the Investment Committee of Carleton College, a Trustee of the Weitz Funds and a Trustee of the International Center for the Disabled. Mr. Wender holds his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his BA from Carleton College.
